Charles Rangel, telling CBS news that the time has come for the 80-year-old dean of New York’s congressional delegation to end his career “with dignity.” But a person close to the Rangel tells POLITICO the embattled Democrat “doesn’t give a damn about what the president thinks about this” and won’t step down. I have just returned from a 2700 mile, ten day speaking tour in the mid-west. The mood of the country is far worse than you have heard. The level of anxiety about the direction and agenda of the federal government and the abject level of crises that most of the states are in is beyond comprehension.
Career jobs and decent paying employment is gone. Forced accumulation of debt through inflation and taxes is rampant. Lack of nourishment because of GMO vegetables and GMO corn fed livestock is managed by the addiction to hundreds of “miracle” pharmaceuticals that play an endless game of downward spiraling levels of health issues for the majority of America’s people.
Ultra liberal Universities crank out graduates in degree fields that are no longer viable but it doesn’t matter, primarily due to the fact that these degrees can’t prove that the people holding them can perform their role without retraining during their first year of work.

The prominent “progressive” historian Howard Zinn, whose books are force-fed to young people on many college campuses, was not only a member of the Moscow-controlled and Soviet-funded Communist Party USA (CPUSA) but lied about it, according to an FBI file released on Friday.
The file, consisting of three sections totaling 423 pages, was made available on the FBI’s website and released in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from this writer.
Zinn taught in the political science department of Boston University for 24 years, from 1964 to 1988, and has been a major influence on the modern-day “progressive” movement that backed Barack Obama for president.

I am going to make a prediction about what Obama will ultimately do to grant amnesty to millions of illegals in America.
This usurper knows the only way he will ever be able to grant amnesty to millions of illegals is through a presidential executive order. He also knows that this will bring the anger of American-loving patriots to a fever pitch. He also knows that it will no doubt cause major uprisings throughout the fruited plains of America. But Obama has plans to deal with this uprising and fever-pitch anger!
Obama is sly like a fox. He doesn't give a rat's rear end about what the American people want or don't want. His aim is to continue to divide this nation by racial means or any other means that will create a national crisis of some kind that will allow him to declare martial law and shut down all opposition to his Marxist agenda.
Granting amnesty by executive order is just one more tool in the hands of Obama that will be used in the coming months to continue to move this nation at break-neck speed toward a Marxist-controlled government.
Does anyone who knows who this usurper really is doubt that Obama and his Marxist cronies would not do something like this to keep himself and his cronies from being booted from office? We are dealing with people who hate this country and are hell-bent on destroying it.

The dumbing down is worse than I thought. People today do not know the difference between race and nationality. If two blacks, one from Kenya and one from Ghana have a child, that is not a mongrel, as they are both of the same race. If two whites, one from France and one from Germany, have a child, he or she also is not a mongrel; the parents are the same race. Now, if a white woman and a black man have a child, as in Obama's case, that is a mongrel offspring, as his parents are two different races. That is not bigotry – that is scientific fact, and it is also biblical.

The Black Regiment was a moniker affixed to those patriot preachers of colonial America who thundered forth the message of liberty and freedom, and without whose leadership our War for Independence would never have been waged--or won. I ask questions with period marks to shorten conversations. I avoid eye contact with strangers in fear (maybe it’s anxiety) that I might learn too much about them. I secretly think that Metallica would be making better music if they went back to bludgeoning themselves with party drugs and alcohol, instead of “therapy.” I’m trying to master the Law of Un-attraction to shield myself from a “real job,” small homes and junky cars. And, I’m constantly giving my children advice, only to give it to myself.

Perhaps these questions are what motivated me to pursue a career as a drug design chemist, winning multiple awards for my work. Nothing gets me more excited than drugs and how they affect the body (except my wife’s abs). Swarms of photographers, reporters and plain old curious folk are expected to descend on the upstate New York town of Rhinebeck when Chelsea Clinton gets married there on Saturday. Most Americans do not remember what a horror the polio epidemic was upon America. In the early 50s, over 33,000 Americans fell crippled or died slow, terrible deaths from polio each year. It was a virus spread casually that infected the lining of the intestines, then the blood stream, and finally the nervous system where it destroyed the victim’s brain stem. The search for a polio vaccine became a national scientific effort supported by very powerful political forces. As a virus, it did not respond to antibiotics as bacteria do, so a vaccine was needed to stop the crippling and killing.
American scientist Jonas Salk came forward with a new idea to eliminate all three strains of polio. He would grow the live virus in a lab and then kill the virus and inject the dead virus into children. Being dead, they could not produce, but would create antibodies against the virus. Thus the immune system would be armed against polio.

I hope this doesn’t come across as self-serving, but I have something for you to view that I think is important.
As a friend of mine once said “something’s are better felt, than telt.” This is one of those things.
I have been writing a regular commentary for nearly five years and I am honored to have developed a group of loyal readers, some who actually enjoy what I have to say, and I appreciate the feedback, both pro and con, I receive on a regular basis.
But this one is going to be a little different.
I have been given the opportunity to speak at several Tea Parties here in the Midwest. I guess word travels fast that I have something to say that is worth hearing.
Initially, many of the organizers were hesitant to invite me because of the strong Christian message that I deliver. In their desire to obtain “unity” they were fearful that a message addressing the “moral issues” would be “divisive.”

The central premise of Judge Bolton’s decision enjoining four parts of Arizona’s immigration law rests on the faulty premise that the state law violates the doctrine of federal pre-emption. The law, however, is in aid of federal immigration law and neither obstructs nor increases penalties for immigration law violations. Moreover, it does not attempt to alter the standards used by the federal government in determining who is legally resident in this country. Indeed, the Arizona law is in aid of domestic law affected by illegals in Arizona who are contributing to drug and human trafficking and other serious crimes within the state.
The Judge held the following four parts of the statute unlawful encroachments on federal immigration law, based on the doctrine of pre-emption:
(1) the requirement that an officer make a reasonable attempt to determine the immigration status of a person stopped, detained, or arrested on other grounds if there is a reasonable suspicion that the person is unlawfully present in the U.S. and that a person arrested be required to show proof of lawful immigration status prior to being released (Part of Section 2 of SB 1070);
(2) the creation of a new state crime in support of federal law that requires application for and carriage of alien registration papers (Section 3 of SB 1070);
(3) the creation of a new state crime in support of federal law that prohibits an unauthorized alien from soliciting, applying for, or performing work (Part of Section 5 of SB 1070); and
(4) the authorization of warrantless arrest of a person where there is probable cause to believe the person has committed a public offense that makes the person removable from the United States under federal immigration law (Section 6 of SB 1070).

Yeah, Mark Williams can be an extremist all right—not perfect—but an extremist in expressing his views in a way that forces one to decide. War worth it? You bet

Letter writer Ed Chmura basically asks if war is worth the cost of the deaths of people [July 27]. First, to clarify, the U.S. has not invaded Pakistan. There have been strikes at the borders of Pakistan and Afghanistan because that's where the terrorists are hiding, and much of this has been done as a joint effort between the U.S. and Pakistan. Also, I would question his statement of "the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people." The actual numbers are far below this.
Now, regarding the cost of war. It's true that human life is sacred. Does Mr. Chmura's respect for life extend to the Iraqi people whom Saddam and his supporters murdered in very gruesome ways (execution, exposure to chemical weapons, fed through an industrial shredder, etc.)? How many Iraqis are alive today who would not be if Saddam were still alive and in power? If you believe the war in Iraq was wrong, you are by definition saying you want Saddam to still be alive and in power.
What about other wars? World War I. World War II. The Civil War. In the Civil War alone, over 600,000 Americans died. Were these worth the cost? Korea and Vietnam tend to cast shadows, but I would argue that they, too, were worth the cost. Korea today has a vast difference between the North and the South. Our withdrawal from Vietnam directly led to the rise of the Khmer Rouge and the death of around 7 million people.
Wars are not pretty. They are at best an imperfect solution to a problem in an imperfect world. John Stuart Mill said it quite well: "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Backwater health care is our future

As Americans helplessly watch the Obama administration from afar move on the various pillars of our nation with the veracity of an invading force, it must be continually on our minds not to forget the tragedy of the passing of Obama's reinvention of the American health-care system.
Known as Obamacare, this beastly spawn of Democratic pride is nothing more than the complete reversal of the American way of life – that is, the individual responsibility for one's own health – torn from us in one singular vote, providing the stepping stone to crush individualism in the present age in favor of government control over our finances, health and welfare. Like the slow decomposition of a dead animal, week by week we are rudely exposed to more and more about the law we never had a chance to learn about before it was enacted, a law that will – as Obama so ineloquently and bluntly declared his intention during the 2008 campaign – "fundamentally change America."
To tear down the pillars of our nation is Obama's goal. Obamacare is the fundamental vehicle with which he will do this. Never mind the flawed finance bill Congress recently passed, the monstrous debt or the unconstitutional takeover of private companies, it is inexorably Obamacare that will sap us of our liberties like no other law ever created. It is this law on which we must not lose focus. Any Republican who is now seeking office must pass a new litmus test: Will they go on the record with a pledge to repeal Obamacare? If not, they are not a lover of liberty and have no place in the next Congress, America's seminal Congress, that must make aggressive strides to overturn the most rancid debacle of our time.
If we lose sight of what Obamacare really plans to accomplish, then as it takes effect and private insurance disappears, as private health care outside of a bureaucratic, governmentally run system is deemed illegal, as private consultation over health care decisions are punishable by fines or even jail time, not much else will matter. We will have fundamentally lost our freedom, and the bureaucrat will sit high over each and every one of us with utter disdain and disregard for what Jefferson called our "certain unalienable rights." We will be relegated to the faceless masses, collectively made subservient to the "better public good."
Obamacare will become the vehicle for a new America where health care is no longer a free enterprise but a finite resource where the best is given preferentially either to the elites or to the politically savvy. For the rest of us, back-alley health care will be our lot.
Obama and those who voted for his health-care plan have used their power to mount up staunchly against the individual in favor of the collective. This law is not only unconstitutional but anti-American in its spirit.
Back-alley health care is where America will find itself tomorrow if today our credo is not only opposition but complete and total repeal of Obama's most egregious attack on our nation and the individual rights it was born to uphold.

The controversy came up following a report that Kerry moored the multi-million dollar yacht in Rhode Island , rather than the Bay State to save on sales tax. A spokesman for the senator says Kerry never intended to evade taxes and kept the boat in Rhode Island for maintenance reasons.

After fighting what I believed was an unconstitutional federal income tax, six years ago I capitulated, filed returns, and have since then, paid $120,054 in combined state and federal income taxes (including the interest and penalties). At the time, I was also working toward a settlement with the IRS. What derailed this settlement process was becoming a target for an audit. My experiences provide a case study of why we need to get rid of the income tax on wages and salaries.
Years ago I became interested in the income tax and wanted to understand how it worked. I had read a lot of the literature on the subject. In doing so, I noticed there was a big gapping hole in the literature. No one had written about the intent of the Income Tax Amendment when it was debated and finally ratified on February 25, 1913. Plus I thought it would be easier to research the purpose and intent of the income tax rather than study the Internal Revenue Code. I focused my research on the years 1908 to 1913, as this was when the income tax amendment was debated. Because I discovered so much new information in doing this research, I wrote a book about it.

Why people fear freedom

Some years ago, on the Sean Hannity radio show, Mr. Hannity was interviewing KABC Los Angeles libertarian radio talk-show host Larry Elder. He asked, at the time, why was it that libertarians, when running for political office, only receive 3 percent of the vote. Mr. Elder was quick in his reply: "The reason is because people fear freedom." I was taken aback by the response. I fully accept it now. Americans, sadly, do fear freedom and what it entails.
Freedom means success, as well as failure; freedom means making decisions, which can include the wrong ones; freedom means taking responsibility and owning up; freedom means owning yourself, body and soul.
Freedom entails the right to associate with whomever you please, and not getting punished for it; freedom means to take risks in all human endeavors; freedom means to think and to speak your mind and not get punished by anyone or anything; freedom means living your life as you so choose it.
Freedom means tolerating others' opinions, peculiarities, religion and lifestyles, and not wanting to punish them for their differences; freedom means falling down and having the courage to get back up again; Freedom means taking responsibility for your own welfare, family, business, property or other; freedom means working for a goal and having no obstacles or any impediments in the way.
Freedom means praise, as well as scorn; freedom means standing up and facing the consequences, good and bad; freedom means doing what you please, provided that you do not physically harm another; freedom means standing up and reminding the powers that be that there are limits.
Freedom means adhering to a Constitution and not deviating from it; freedom also means choosing the road on which you want to travel and doing it peacefully; freedom means taking responsibility for your words, deeds and actions; and, finally, freedom means standing tall and walking into the sunshine of liberty.
Yes, people fear freedom. They fear freedom because it sometimes requires pain, instead of pleasure; they fear freedom because at times it means struggle and stress; they fear freedom because at times it can be burdensome; and they even fear freedom because then they cannot "pass the buck." That is why some Americans who would like to surrender their freedoms and liberties to achieve and obtain security from government and the welfare state. To me, this is not only sad, it is very dangerous. It would be the equivalent of surrendering one's soul or being to Lucifer himself. Benjamin Franklin said it best when he said that those who give up their liberties for the sake of security deserve neither liberty nor security. How true those words are today.

Today, the left has similar contempt for those who take a hard line on Islamic terror. The liberal and leftist media routinely place quote marks around the words War on Terror. To the left, such a war is manufactured by rightists for nefarious reasons (oil, self-enrichment, imperialism, etc.). Indeed, the Obama administration has actually forbidden use of the term "Islamic terror." America is at war with a nameless enemy. The real enemies the Democratic administration is prepared to name are the Republican Party, tea parties, Fox News and talk radio.

Obama religion adviser linked to terrorists

A religion adviser to President Obama has close ties to a radical Muslim group that was an unindicted co-conspirator in a scheme to raise money for Hamas.
The group, the Islamic Society of North America, or ISNA, has an extensive relationship with the Obama administration.
In February, Obama named a Chicago Muslim, Eboo Patel, to his Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Patel is the founder and executive director of Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core, which says it promotes pluralism by teaming people of different faiths on service projects.
Patel is listed on ISNA's official speakers bureau.
Here's the rundown on Obama's ties to "communists, socalists and other anti-American extremists – all in "The Manchurian President."
From his own comments, Patel apparently is a member of ISNA. Upon the August 2007 election of the group's president, Ingrid Mattson, Patel told USA Today, "I'm proud to have her elected as my president."

WASHINGTON – A former CIA director says military action against Iran now seems more likely because no matter what the U.S. does diplomatically, Tehran keeps pushing ahead with its suspected nuclear program.
Michael Hayden, a CIA chief under President George W. Bush, says that during his tenure a strike was "way down the list" of options. But he tells CNN's "State of the Union" that such action now "seems inexorable."

The most consequential news item of the week will obviously be -- or at least should be -- the massive new leak by WikiLeaks of 90,000 pages of classified material chronicling the truth about the war in Afghanistan from 2004 through 2009. Those documents provide what The New York Times calls "an unvarnished, ground-level picture of the war in Afghanistan that is in many respects more grim than the official portrayal." The Guardian describes the documents as "a devastating portrait of the failing war in Afghanistan, revealing how coalition forces have killed hundreds of civilians in unreported incidents, Taliban attacks have soared and Nato commanders fear neighbouring Pakistan and Iran are fueling the insurgency."

America’s own suicide stands SO self-evident through Raspail’s words when he talks about Europe proceeding toward its own peril when it allowed the rate of immigration to exceed the rate of assimilation. They swallowed the deadliest scorpion in the Middle Eastern desert by inviting a stone-age culture and religion into their advanced European culture.
Raspail said the immigrants were, “righteous in their loathing of anything and everything that smacked of present-day Western society, and boundless in their love of whatever might destroy it.”

However, the case was mysteriously and abruptly killed by a top Justice Department official just as a federal judge was preparing to punish the Black Panthers for ignoring the charges and refusing to appear in court.
While the mainstream news media lambaste the Tea Partiers with accusations of racism, violence, hatred and other transgressions, these same reporters and pundits routinely turn a blind eye towards the violence perpetrated by liberal-left "activists."
