Study: Drinking is good for you

The hangover is really kicking in, and you're cursing yourself for having that fourth drink and then a fifth. Remember Tom? That guy at the party who was only sipping Pellegrino? He's probably doing a bit better right now. But it turns out you may win out in the long run. According to a new study, heavy drinkers outlive abstainers. Now, go ahead mix yourself a bloody Mary for breakfast. The new paper in "Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research" was picked up by Time, which earlier had another surprising finding about teetotalers: They tend to be more depressed than drinkers. About condoning child rape and murder

This article is inspired by a shocking video I received of a young Muslim girl, 17 years old, her name was Dua, and she was brutally murdered by a mob of “peaceful” Muslim men and women. (See Video Warning… If you have a weak stomach, don’t watch it)
The girl had rejected an older 50 something man her parents had arranged for her to marry.
By not wanting to be forcibly married off and date raped by some twisted old child molesting “peaceful” Muslim man, she had violated Sharia law, and her sentence, death by stoning. Without the formality of due process and a fair trial of course.
Women and Property the Koran says:When one is given a woman, servant, or cattle, one should seize its forehead and pray to Allah. Ibn-i-Majah vol.3 no.1918 p.157. See, also Muwatta’ Malik 28.22.52
I try to imagine the kind of people who could commit such evil; it’s hard for me to even contemplate.
Is Islam an organized criminal syndicate that has a goal of overthrowing all existing organized governments by force?
Is it an ego thing? Maybe hyper-machismos?
As defined in Webster’s …(1: a strong sense of masculine pride: an exaggerated masculinity (2: an exaggerated or exhilarating sense of power or strength
It appears to me, and I have first hand experience, that most Muslim men are Misogynists, anti-Semitic and anti-Christian.
Do they believe they are charged with a religious commandment to kill?

Capitalism doesn't invest in communism

Unfortunately, for Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and all of their commie comrades here and abroad, capitalists know communism when they see it and they ain’t investing in it! Hence, the sudden realization that Obama’s so-called economic recovery via communism has indeed hit a stall.
Billions in investment capital left the American free market on the mere hint that Obama might become the new temporary resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Successful investors make their living predicting the future, anticipating financial trends before they happen. In the good ole days of the free-market economy, these predictions were all based on supply-side economic trends that we have witnessed for more than 200 years of economic supremacy in the U.S.

'Mini-me' is Barack Obama.

George Soros now rules over half of the Earth: Eurasia, North America and, with his foot in Brazil, a large chunk of South America.
With a Sorosian Barack Obama running the United States, a Sorosian Vladimir Putin running the neo Soviet Union of Third Millennium Russia, and that earliest of Sorosian visionaries, Dr. Henry Kissinger of Harvard, running an eternally Sorosian dialogue with the Tweedledees and Tweedledums of Red China, we have an entirely Sorosian New World Order.
The old euphemism for Marxist, the eternally resurrected treasonous lie called Progressive, has once again, as with Henry A. Wallace failed the smell test.
Therefore the new word for Progressive must be Sorosian.
HOLLYWOOD Sorosified: Oh, those rumored “splits” in the Democratic Party?
George Soros and Media Matters will fix that — unless, off course, George is so disappointed with his Oval Office Mini-Me that he’s given the order to bite the wolfhound.

Playing into Obama's hands

Financial expert Zubi Diamond, author of Wizards of Wall Street, says that Republican proposals to fix the economy are deficient because they fail to protect invested capital in the stock market from the hedge fund short sellers.Republican Representatives Paul Ryan and John Boehner, who voted for the $700 billion big bank bailouts that began under President Bush, have put forward much-publicized proposals to solve the economic crisis. But Diamond says he has had no luck in getting Boehner—or other top Republicans—to pay any attention to his detailed and specific plan to save the economy by reinstating the safeguard regulations that protect invested capital and shareholder rights. He argues that, until and unless the hedge fund short sellers are prohibited from looting the publicly traded companies, real economic growth cannot take place. It is this capital, he notes, that funds the loans for borrowers, the day-to-day operations of the corporations, their payrolls and the funds they needed for growth and expansion. “This is the money needed for job creation and employment,” he asserts.

Obama's muddled Muslim talk

Left Turn: Build More Mosques

When it comes to Islam, the GOP is letting the folks in the tinfoil hats steer the ship. Discarding the Bush-era "religion of peace" rhetoric that helped draw socially conservative Muslims to the GOP, Republicans have settled on a political narrative that implies any religiously observant Muslim is a potential domestic threat.
The resistance to the proposed Islamic community center in Lower Manhattan is hardly an exception. Protests against proposals for Muslim religious buildings are happening across the country, fueled by conservative writers intent on convincing their audience that Muslims are secretly plotting to end the American way of life and replace the Constitution with Taliban-style Sharia law. By treating all Muslim Americans as potential terrorist sympathizers, anti-Muslim conservatives strengthen the extremist narrative that the West is at war with Islam and further isolate Muslim citizens from American society.

A 13-story middle finger

The proposed mosque near where the World Trade Center was attacked and destroyed, along with thousands of American lives, would be a 13-story middle finger to America.
It takes a high IQ to evade the obvious, so it is not surprising that the intelligentsia are out in force decrying those who criticize this calculated insult.
What may surprise some people is that the American taxpayer is currently financing a trip to the Middle East by the imam who is pushing this project, so that he can raise the money to build it. The State Department is subsidizing his travel.
The big talking point is that this is an issue about "religious freedom" and that Muslims have a "right" to build a mosque where they choose. But those who oppose this project are not claiming that there is no legal right to build a mosque near the site of the World Trade Center.
If anybody did, it would be a matter for the courts to decide – and they would undoubtedly say that it is not illegal to build a mosque near the site of the World Trade Center attack.

The intelligentsia and others who are wrapping themselves in the Constitution are fighting a phony war against a straw man. Why create a false issue, except to evade the real issue?

The Horror of Rain, Just Rain

The strange Karma and Kharisma of Glenn Beck

''...Beck says his choice of date and venue was initially a coincidence, then an act of God; either way, he meant no disrespect to Martin Luther King. I had thought Beck did not believe in coincidences: arrows connect everything to everything else in his mental world. On the other hand, at the event, he praised King effusively as an American hero and sounded as though he meant it. Perhaps he was insincere; even so, an odd thing to say if you are addressing a quarter of a million bigots.''

Doubtless it marks me out as a member of the uncomprehending godless elite, but I find the popularity of Glenn Beck very hard to understand. Sarah Palin's popularity, I think I do understand. However much of an illusion it may be -- all politicians deal in illusions -- she projects an appealing, proud, self-sufficient ordinariness that makes her a credible spokesman for many Americans. Beck sets himself up not as a spokesman so much as an inspirational teacher and guide, blackboard and all. There he stands, with the answer to everything, gravely propounding his theories of life, the universe and everything that surrounds it. Wrapped up in his own psychodrama, his self-regard seems limitless. He strikes me as a huckster drunk on his own pitch, a true believer in his own cult, ready to hurtle off the rails at any moment -- and all of this seems obvious. Yet he, not Palin, was very much the star of the rally in DC on Saturday. They love the guy.

Pandering to special Muslim interests

On August 31, this coming Tuesday, the Muslim Brotherhood-associated “Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations” (CCMO) will bring 25-30 Muslim leaders of 20 national Muslim groups to attend a special workshop presented by the White House and U.S. Government agencies (Agriculture, Education, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services etc.) to provide the groups “funding, government assistance and resources.” The workshop will apparently provide special access for these Muslim Brotherhood organizations: the organizers pledge to provide “direct access” and “cut through red tape.” Original Article

Americans know they're being conned

Minimum estimate of Saturday's crowd on the Mall: 300,000 Maximum estimate: One million people. Meaning of the crowd: An enormous upheaval in the emotions of average Americans is coursing through the country, with a certain significance for November's elections. It will have a lasting, profound impact on America's political direction. Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin provided an occasion to glimpse this undeniable phenomenon. Of course, the interpretations of what the phenomenon is and what its consequences will be will keep the chattering class busy for weeks, if not years. Original Article

Out of the melting pot, into the fire

For the past 30 years, somebody, somewhere, or a group of people in high places decided to destroy the successful equation of “melting pot” within America. That ‘entity’ decided to pitch diversity and multiculturalism as the new monikers dismantling English as America’s common language. “It” decided to inject hundreds of incompatible cultures and languages into America while adding another 100 million people to stress the environment even further.
That same “It” worked its magic in France, Great Britain, Holland, Norway, France, Belgium and other countries—with devastating results: fragmenting, balkanizing and separated societies.
Like a group of chemistry students in a classroom where the teacher leaves for an emergency phone call—for kicks or giggles—the students start tossing multiple chemicals into a test tube to see what happens. Result: the mixture either melts the tube down or explodes. No one knows what kind of volatility may occur.

The Help Everybody mantra

A hundred years ago, in America, an old idea was given new legs:
Help everybody.
It seemed like a simple premise, even if its implications would eventually shred every sentence in the Constitution, like a worm eating paper.
Most of the proponents of this idea have experienced a jolt of personal adrenaline from it—as in, “Why didn’t I think of this before, why was I so focused on Me, why did I imagine my small mind was more important than the collective mind, of course this why we’re all here on planet Earth.”
Good for them.
And of course, who would carry the freight of this grand “help everybody” premise? Government. No other body or institution would be up to the task.
Much of the growth of government over the last century has involved burgeoning bureaucracies whose purpose is to do good. Help everybody.
Now, that gigantic expansion is running into a brick wall.

Tyranny infests us

The more and more I hear of the phrase “Democracy in Action” the more frustrated I get at the ignorance of those we have placed in positions of power over us. From Washington D.C. to nearly every town in America the use of “Democracy in Action” to limit even more rights from the American citizen is reaching epidemic proportions. It is systemic within the culture of Tyranny that infests every aspect of our governmental system.
Any person who uses the term Democracy to identify or describe how we are supposed to be governed is either ignorant of our Constitution and History or knows full well and is bent on destroying our nation and way of life.
Anyone who has read the Declaration of Independence knows that our nation was created under the novel belief that all men were created equal and that they were endowed by “their creator” (not the government) with Unalienable Rights and that “to secure these rights, Governments are instituted…”
With this in mind, and with such a diverse society in our nation, how do we apply the rule of law evenly if “all men are created equal?” We see in the Federal government how some citizens are given special privilege by receiving certain tax benefits or relief....

Durbin, Waxman, and a host of others

You learn a lot about members of Congress from the bills they introduce. The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (S. 510) tells us a lot about Illinois Senator Richard Durbin. Durbin loves big government. Quick to condemn entire sectors of the American economy based on a few rotten apples, he rarely criticizes big government for doing too much regulating because he believes to his core that government is doing too little of it. You will not hear Durbin complaining that government power must be carefully checked to prevent abuse and to stem violations of civil or economic liberties. Indeed, if he believes in economic liberty at all, it is a well kept secret.
The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act adds power to FDA precisely at a time when the agency is discredited by Inspector General reports, by private assessments of its performance, and by judicial decisions against the agency. Its abuses are legion, including approval of unsafe drugs against its own medical reviewers’ objections; failure to remove unsafe drugs from the market for decades, if at all; failure to abide by federal court orders; censorship of nutrient-disease information that could save lives, and on and on. Before you would ever want to give a government agency so abusive of the public trust more power, you would want to be sure that you gutted it of the power it so abusively wields and put in place safeguards against future abuses of power.

Hezbollah terrorists in America

The terrorism report said, "The Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah does not have a known history of fomenting attacks inside the U.S., but that could change if there is some kind of 'triggering' event." Might such a triggering event involve a strong stance, perhaps military in nature, on the part of the U.S. if Iran obtains a nuclear bomb?
General estimates indicate that the Iranian bomb is within reach of the fundamentalist Islamic mullahs within a year or two. If and when the Mullahs get the bomb, it is reasonable to assume that they will hit Tel Aviv and destroy Israel. Might the Hezbollah terror sleeper cells inside the U.S., viewing the destruction of Israel as a triggering event, respond by attacking the U.S. from within? If Israel is destroyed, and it probably will be destroyed if nothing is done very soon, the destruction of Israel would only whet the appetite of the fundamentalist Islamic jihad who would no doubt respond by going after the big prize, the Great Satan U.S.

'CEO' is above Obama's pay grade

While House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, urged President Obama Tuesday to fire his economic team, a real CEO would have made that move months ago. A real CEO would have also developed and implemented a new strategy to stimulate the economy as soon as it became apparent that the old one was not working.
Even worse, the administration is in denial about the fact that its economic policies are not working. This is evidenced by Vice President Joe Biden's spin tour trying to convince people that their policies are working using concocted measurements such as "jobs saved" and the latest addition to their spin vocabulary – "lives touched."
I am one of many writers who warned that we could not spend our way to prosperity, but the administration and the Democrat-controlled Congress passed the $862 billion non-stimulus bill anyway. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called members of Congress back during the August congressional recess to spend another $26 billion to help save some more union jobs.

Target: Redneck whites

I think I missed the announcement. When did it become open season on American citizens, making them the target of hateful, defamatory insult?
Well, not all Americans, just those of a certain political persuasion – conservative or a certain religious belief, any Christian denomination, or of a certain skin color: White, with of course, a red neck.
When such accusations are tossed around without compunction and without any effort to quell them, you're getting into dangerous, divisive territory indeed.
The reality today is that if you're a liberal – or Democrat or progressive or socialist or, dare I say it, communist – then you can call the opposition any name you choose, no matter how vile and without regard to truth.
Just do it. You'll get a pass from fellow travelers and a pass from the media, which reports the transgressions but never calls the person on the impropriety of such name-calling.

Obama: Muslim missionary? Part 3

Obama's actions are again our focus here in Part 3.
In Part 1, I began to demonstrate how the President is using U.S. Special Envoy Rashad Hussain, his own presidential position and others in his administration to deepen and expand the partnerships between the United States and the religion of Islam.
In Part 2, I detailed Obama's real spiritual beliefs based upon a rare in-depth 2004 interview by a religious reporter for a major newspaper publication, including his beliefs about prayer, sin, heaven, the Bible and the person of Jesus.
Now, in Part 3, I will demonstrate how Obama categorically has been prejudicial in his treatment of Islam versus Christianity.
If a self-proclaimed non-Muslim president would fight repeatedly for Muslims' religious rights to the degree that our president has, don't you think "a committed Christian" president would at least fight once for any antagonistic oppression of Christian faith and practice, too? Yet, on no occasion since taking office has President Obama stood up publicly for a single Christian individual, group, church, act or event, whom or which was being opposed or oppressed by others.

Mixed messages from Glenn Beck

The irony is that Beck himself was quoted in the Washington Post on the day of his rally as saying that homosexual marriage was not “a threat to the country.” This was actually a quote from an exchange that Beck had with Bill O’Reilly on his Fox News program. Christopher Barron, chairman of a homosexual Republican group, was quoted in the Post article as saying that Beck “sees a need to create a broad-based conservative movement” and therefore has taken the position that gay marriage “doesn’t hurt anybody.”
Oblivious to the health hazards of the homosexual lifestyle, including the ongoing AIDS crisis, and the movement’s current demands for the “right” to donate blood that could infect the nation’s blood supply, Beck had quoted Thomas Jefferson as saying, “If it neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket, what difference is it to me?”
While Beck should not be concerned about what the Post or other liberal media think of him or his rally, the fact is that his AWOL status in the cultural war has not gone over well with conservatives who were in this battle for morality when Beck was still a Top 40 DJ and years away from national prominence.

'What's left to conserve after marriage is gone?'

The first definition of "conservative" in most dictionaries is something like this: "disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change."
If that definition is accurate, many self-proclaimed "conservatives" have already betrayed their cause of preserving the most important institution to any civilized or self-governing society, while others are treating marriage as if it's just another issue on which good people can disagree.
That's the capitulation I see since the recent arrival on the scene by a well-funded group called GOProud, which bills itself as a "gay" conservative organization.
GOProud scored a publicity and political coup recently be securing conservative star Ann Coulter as a keynote speaker at its "Homocon" conference in New York Sept. 25.
"Homocon" is an appropriate name for the event – because the homos are conning conservatives into believing they are a legitimate, sincere and vital part of their movement and people who share many of the same fundamental convictions. Nothing could be further from the truth.

It's not a sinking ship!

A presidency of lies

Ever since Joseph Farah launched WND's national "Where's the birth certificate?" campaign, supporters of President Soetoro have come up with a panoply of increasingly bizarre justifications for his continued concealment of his birth records, school records, publication records and pretty much everything else that might provide the American people with more information about who this Obama character is.
Or Soetoro. Or Soebarkah. Or something.
Setting aside the obvious lunacy of accusing someone who believes that Bill Ayers was Soebarkah's ghostwriter of being a birther or thinks that Soetoro was the beneficiary of some extraordinary affirmative action in getting into both Columbia and Harvard Law despite being an exchange student who didn't score well enough on his PSAT to qualify for National Merit– the correct terms would be "authorer" and "colleger," respectively, there remain a remarkable number of questions about the man who has managed to destroy the Democratic Party's electoral chances faster than George W. Bush eviscerated the Republicans.
Starting, of course, with his name. Jonathan Ross once said of the second Mrs. Paul McCartney that she was such a liar he would not be surprised to discover she had two legs. In like manner, I wouldn't be astonished to be informed that Barry Barack Soetoro Obama Hussein Soebarkah's real name was Henry Smith. Or, for that matter, Hasan al-Mansoor.

Not so white as advertised

Yesterday, hundreds of thousands of Americans – of many creeds and colors – made what ended up being a pilgrimage of sorts to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., for Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor rally.
Catholics, other Christians and Jews spoke to WND on site, many celebrating the themes of faith and reliance on God proclaimed from the platform.
As WND reported, Beck proclaimed the purpose of the rally, saying, "It has nothing to do with politics; it has everything to do with God."

Beck 300,000 vs Sharption's 3,000

Without question, the rally sponsored by Glenn Beck today in front of the Lincoln Memorial drew a massive crowd. (snip) Carrie Dunn of left wing MSNBC even concedes: "Today's rally was indisputably huge. NBC's Domenico Montanaro noted one park service official's estimate of over 300,000 but please note that the park service no longer provides "official" estimates." (snip) a Washington Post story that reports Al Sharpton's counter-rally drew only 3,000. A one hundred to one ratio comparing the reach of Glenn Beck and Al Sharpton sounds appropriate to me.

CBS and MSM play the race card...Again

CBS and the rest of the MSM have decided the Tea Party movement is racist and hostile to non-whites, and it’s a mantra they’re going to illustrate whenever they see an opportunity. Reporter Nancy Cordes saw a “nearly all-white crowd” at Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally in Washington, DC, as she (at least an off-camera female voice) demanded of two black women who weren't afraid to attend: “I'm noticing that there aren't a lot of minorities here today. Why do you think that is?” One of the women shot back: “They're probably over there with Al Sharpton.”

Turning America Over to the U.N.

In November 2010, if we do not take back at least the House of Representatives we will have no chance—whatsoever—of surviving the beast and its minions. But, even worse, if we don’t get rid of said beast our destruction is also assured. If we can rid ourselves of both—and restore our Republic—we must for all time say “Never Again” to tyranny and all would-be tyrants. We cannot and must not allow this to happen to our country, our loved ones and us even one more time…never.
After turning NYC over to the Islamists and leftist sympathizers, via endorsing their 9/11 Victory Mosque (any Muslim project called “The Cordoba Initiative” has to be just that), Dictator-in-Chief Obama believes that he has found the way to both destroy opposition to his Orwellian plans for the former United States of America and introduce OUR country’s final demise. (Snip) Didn’t Hugo Chavez affect something similar in Venezuela? But, let’s face the truth, folks. Even Chavez didn’t try to destroy his OWN country. But, considering his true birth place, neither did Obama.

Five years later, a richer, whiter New Orleans

Still reeling in the wake of the BP oil disaster, New Orleans is approaching the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina on Sunday. The city has replaced almost all its levees, moved and upgraded pumping stations, written new evacuation plans for the most vulnerable residents, and is now well prepared to withstand another 100-year storm like the one that hit five years ago. New Orleans now hosts 354,850 residents, almost 78 percent of its pre-Katrina population. At the same time, the city has become significantly whiter since the storm:It is now only 60 percent black, compared to 67 percent black, pre-Katrina. And many of the poorer black people who left town after the storm have yet to return.

Via God, Glenn Beck claims King's legacy

Beck, for his part, just couldn’t praise Martin Luther King enough. He said King rose above politics, and that he “held strong while his detractors spread hate.” He proudly told the crowd that he was staying in the same hotel where King finished writing his “dream” speech.
Choreographing the event so it felt more like an old-fashion religious revival than a tea party-inspired political rally gave Beck just enough cover to credibly position himself as an heir to Martin Luther King’s legacy on the 47th anniversary of the legendary “I have a dream” speech, even as prominent African-American leaders attacked him at a counter-rally for being insensitive to civil rights iconography.
Beck, who first called the timing coincidental and later embraced it as fitting, didn’t respond directly to attacks as he spoke to a massive crowd that extended for a mile all the way back to the Washington Monument.
He instead filled the stage with a racially diverse mix of religious people who sympathize with his social conservatism. Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0810/41556.html#ixzz0xyu5zGom

The right to lie ruling

Congress since 1948 has found that it is in the public interest to protect the reputation and meaning of the Medal of Honor – and to protect the public from being deceived – by imposing criminal penalties against unscrupulous imposters who falsely represent that they have received the Medal of Honor or other medals of valor. The Stolen Valor Act of 2006 (18 U.S. Code Section 704) is the latest enactment providing those protections.
However, the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the most reversed circuit in the country, has now declared the Stolen Valor Act to be an unenforceable, unconstitutional violation of First Amendment “freedom of speech.” That is, two judges on the 9th Circuit (the third dissented) have effectively created a constitutional “right to lie” as a general rule of First Amendment jurisprudence.
While the greatest detrimental impact of this precedent-setting 9th Circuit decision creating a constitutional “right to lie” falls upon the eighty-eight living Medal of Honor recipients and their families, and the families of all the deceased Medal of Honor recipients, the decision has wide and dangerous implications. As just one example, the majority decision, as the dissent points out, raises the question, among others, of whether illegal aliens will now have a constitutional “right to lie” with impunity about their presence in the country.
The immediate impact of the “right to lie” decision is that miscreant frauds are now possessed of a “First Amendment right” to knowingly and deliberately lie, and are free to deceive the public into believing, that they have not only served in defense of the nation in military service, but have received the Medal of Honor, and other medals of valor.

Attorney General Eric Holder out of control

When Attorney General Eric Holder should be prosecuting terrorists, he is wasting time manufacturing baseless lawsuits against patriotic sheriffs such as Joe Arpaio and harmless pro-lifers. This [latest] action by the Attorney General is an abuse of power and an example of misplaced priorities, according to a growing number of Americans.
With terrorists lurking throughout the nation, illegal aliens preying on American citizens, and government corruption a daily occurrence, the U.S. Department of Justice is embroiled in a legal battle against a pro-life advocate in Florida.
A public-interest legal group affiliated with Liberty University, has agreed to represent Mary Susan Pine, a sidewalk abortion counselor, who is being sued by the politically motivated U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder.

Critical Thinking, A Broad Stroke

Contrary to popular application, the “critical” in critical thinking doesn’t mean categorizing political opponents as “idiots”! Far from it.
Thinking reasonably, reflectively, and deeply is an essential (that is, critical) skill. Its focus determines what one believes—and how he acts out those beliefs. For good reason, the God of the Old Testament implores His own to “come, let us reason together.”[1] Note that He doesn’t compel them to rally for the purpose of contentious wrangling.
To qualify as a reasoned critical thinker, rather than a squabbler, one considers alternatives and their counterexamples; moreover, he explores consequences. That is to say, his posturing is proactive, not reactive.
Significantly, a critical thinker learns from history and from his own mistakes so as not to repeat missteps unnecessarily.
That said the art of critical thinking springs from basic knowledge. While remaining open to new information, a critical thinker evaluates his sources with due diligence, applied discernment, and careful circumspection. He is not a metaphorical lemming destined to suffer the fate of those who go along unquestioningly with fashionable partisanship, trendy enlightenment, or fantastical delusions.

The Vetting or 'Letting' of a President

Had the mainline media given only a small percentage of vetting Barack Hussein Obama like they did former Alaskan Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family, maybe voters on Election Day would have been more informed and would have voted differently. President Bill Clinton was credited with being the “first black President” – a title that he has never denied but is Obama the first Muslim president or is he a Christian as many liberal media outlets lately have been portraying him.
Do I have a big imagination or are these shades of Revelation 13 popping up – a time when there will be a one world money system as well as one world religion where they will pool their thinking under the name of “tolerance.” It will be a religion that doesn’t really believe anything. Deceivers will come - one to head up religion and one to head up the politics of this world.
USA Today had an article dated 8/19/2010 entitled, “People Unsure of Obama’s Faith.” Its poll said almost 20% say he’s a Muslim. Obama himself made a number of Freudian slips on the presidential campaign trail. I remember one time he referred to 57 U.S. states. Our educated pimps in the media never picked up on the fact that the Organization of Islamic Conference consists of 57 countries.
Rhodes Scholar George Stephanopoulus came to prominence as Communications Director for our “first black President” Bill Clinton, a badge of honor Clinton wore proudly. If you are a Washington, D.C. Ivy League school “elitist,” you are never allowed to fade into the background, so eventually Stephanopoulus was awarded his own television show. He interviewed Barack Obama in Sept. 2008. They were discussing GOP presidential campaign candidate, John McCain’s integrity on the faith issue and Obama said, “John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith…“ Stephanopoulus interrupted and said, “Your Christian faith” and Barack responded, “My Christian faith.” Barack Obama’s father was a Muslim and in that faith if your father was a Muslim, so are you!

Mr. Beck goes to Washington

There's something audacious about a movement nourished by anger toward Washington pouring into the nation's capital to drench itself in the city's iconography, but Glenn Beck isn't much for subtle gestures. On Saturday, Aug. 28, the high prophet of conservative populism will headline a rally he's cast as an "iconic event" that may be remembered as "a new generation's defining moment." It may not live up to that lofty billing, but the Restoring Honor rally will showcase the energy coursing through the conservative movement just weeks before the Republican Party tries to topple Democratic majorities in the House and Senate.

A Dead Nation Walking: America

The story is that when a condemned convict has finally exhausted his appeals, stays, and pre-execution pleas and is making that final walk to the execution chamber his last faltering steps are marked by these echoing words, “Dead man walking.” The words are chilling and at the same time prophetic as they mark with a certainty that soon - very soon – the vital physical functions that sustain life and animate the being will be terminated and he will go from life to death and exist only as a memory.
It occurs to me that nations and civilizations are like men in that they live and function, establish relationships, make enemies and friends, inhabit a temporary space as an infinitesimal speck in a boundless universe, enter into a terminal stage and die, are mourned for a while, and then exist only as a memory. Some live longer than others, some are more prominent than others, some are more benevolent than others, some are more evil than others, but all enter into that final stage and ultimately perish. http://www.newswithviews.com/Schwiesow/jim170.htm

Censoring questions of Obama's religion

In a major liberal initiative to curtail discussion of President Obama’s religious identity, over 70 Christian leaders and denominational heads have signed a letter saying that questions about the religious philosophy of the President of the United States should be ignored and suppressed by the major media.
The letter demands that the media “offer no further support or airtime to those who misrepresent and call into question the President’s Christian faith.”
The apparent initiator of the letter is Obama associate Jim Wallis of the Sojourners group, a group funded by atheist George Soros.

Two gays against socialism and gay marriage

Let me assure you there are many gay guys like us (partners) who haven't voted for a Democrat since 1972 (me) – and if I can't stand either candidate or there is only a Democrat running, I skip the race. I'll be damned if I'll vote for a socialist.
My partner and I both oppose gay marriage and favor some type of civil unions on the state level like the Constitution states. We have taken steps to insure the survivor's well-being if one of us dies. We own 23 acres, 4 rental houses, our house and vehicles – all co-owned. No probate is needed since his name and mine are on every legal document, checking accounts, credit cards, our one outstanding loan and anything else you could imagine.
I would say that you and I can agree on 99 percent of politics and life issues. I think Homocon is just a way for more what I call "professional gays" to get the camel's nose under the tent. We and most of the conservative gays I know are totally opposed to gay marriage.
If one of us has to go to the hospital, there is a HIPPA list that is filled out giving certain people the right to see me or him in whatever kind of care we are under, all perfectly legal, and with a living will I can decide for my partner and him for me how far we want to go on extraordinary means to prolong life or "pull the plug."
IF homocon people would take these steps, there would be no need for them. My family is not aware that my partner is on everything I own, but they do know him very well and love him as much as I do – we've been together for 18 years. Our local Republican Party welcomes us for "volunteer night" when we feel we need to get involved in a campaign; they have welcomed us and always call us if there is a party or something for volunteers.
In closing, I do believe that you and I can agree on 99 percent of the issues.

The fall of our nation

Every time I read the news, the headlines get worse. Housing starts down, the stock market down, inflation this, unemployment that … It got my husband to wondering, why is the overall attitude in America as bad as it is?
Before you give a knee-jerk answer of "Because I'm unemployed, stupid!" or some such equally valid (but cursory) reply, hear me out.
There seems to be a curious apathy rampant in our country lately. Our overall attitude is lethargic, almost indifferent to the actions of our government.
We see astounding new threats to our liberties daily. Government agents can legally sneak onto your property and put a GPS tracking device on your car without you knowing about it. The EPA is petitioning to ban lead bullets as a back-door way to reduce the availability of ammunition. Rep. Pete Stark smugly admits at a town-hall meeting that "the federal government can do most anything in this country." And sadly, he's right.

Where's the outrage? The abuse of power has far surpassed the abuses of power imposed by King George III prior to the Revolutionary War. Yet most people merely yawn and say, "I wonder what's on TV tonight?" We're witnessing things that 40 years ago would have had people marching in the streets. And when people do march in the streets, millions strong, the government yawns and goes fishing.

Wake-up call at the Ground Zero mosque

By now every American not on Haldol has an opinion about the Ground Zero mosque. My opinion is that we should be grateful to Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf for his mosque project: Now we know who will defend the indefensible, and that is a good thing to know.
Time magazine asks in its cover story, "Is America Islamophobic?" Most of the magazine's dwindling readership is asking instead, is Time now published in Karachi?
Americans have had much experience lately with tone-deaf leaders. Presidents often misread the public on this issue or that and pay a political price. For example, George W. Bush came up with a plan for amnesty for 15 million illegal aliens, and Barack Obama gave us his World Apology Tour. But it is nevertheless breathtaking to watch our entire political establishment commit hara-kari to defend the rights of jihadists to celebrate the mass murder of 3,000 Americans at Ground Zero.

Sharpton vs Beck

To see the nation divided, watch the people who gather today at the Lincoln Memorial to hear Glenn Beck and the people who gather at Dunbar High School to hear the Rev. Al Sharpton.. Beck and his group want to restore the principles of the founders; Sharpton and his group want to transform America into a progressive utopia.
Beck's demonstration, dubbed "Restoring Honor," was planned months ago to celebrate the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King's 1963 "I Have a Dream" speech. Sharpton's coalition was outraged by the audacity of a white man – especially Glenn Beck – attempting to hijack King's dream. They immediately sent out a call to black organizations to come to Washington to out-demonstrate Beck's event with their own competing event they named "Reclaim the Dream."
Beck has used his national television program to promote King's idea that all people should be measured by the content of their character, not by the color of their skin. Were Sharpton and his colleagues following King's teachings, they would be attending Beck's event, not trying to belittle it by scheduling dueling demonstrations. King worked to achieve a color-blind society; Sharpton and his followers are working to secure special status for blacks. King worked to remove the social bonds that enslaved black people; Sharpton and his colleagues are working to enslave black people to ever-more government handouts.

We the people

As I write this, we are at a turning point in the history of America. This weekend a convocation has been called at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of thousands of Americans are converging in front of this historic place, where Martin Luther King delivered his famous "I have a dream" speech.
It's not convened by a political party, Republican, Democrat or Libertarian. It's not even a tea-party event. It was conceived in the brain and heart of Glenn Beck, lately the host garnering the highest share for his time slot on Fox News.
As he has described it, it's a citizen campaign to rediscover the intentions of our Founding Fathers, to honor our Constitution, to be reminded of the priorities and fundamental precepts that made America the greatest country in human history. And – without his even saying much about who will speak, what will transpire, or what he expects the results to be – multiplied thousands are canceling previous plans, making whatever arrangements necessary and driving, flying, riding and hitchhiking to Washington.
Today, many conservative speakers will address the vital, alarming issues of the day – the economy, the health-care catastrophe, the "progressive" socialist agenda of the president and his array of left-leaning, Alinsky-trained, Marxist-sympathizing "czars" and administrators.
Individuals with firsthand knowledge of the socialist attacks on our education process, our governmental functions, our universities and social programs will speak to their deeply concerned fellow citizens. And they'll lay out some concrete, realistic and urgent proposals for action – action on the local, regional and state, and national levels.

'The President is a Fraud'

There's little likelihood that the issue of President Obama's eligibility to hold office ever is going to go away without a full and complete disclosure, based on the dedication of an Oklahoma woman who was so upset at the politician she calls a fraud she launched her own bid for the U.S. House.
"I will fight to my death for this country," Miki Booth told WND today, shortly after she wrote in a commentary on the Tulsa Today website about the "hateful rhetoric" with which she's been targeted since asking about Obama's birth certificate.
"I didn't just question Obama's eligibility to be president, I held up my husband's and son's birth certificates from Kapi'olani hospital on C-SPAN to prove by comparison that the Internet copy of Obama's Certification of Live Birth was a fraud," she wrote.

Illegals coming by sea

The speedboat is about three miles offshore when a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent cuts the engine to drift on the current in quiet darkness, hoping for the telltale signs of immigrant smuggling — a motor's whirr or sulfur exhaust fumes. "It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack, and the haystack is the Pacific Ocean," agent Tim Feige says, minutes before sunrise. This is a new frontier for illegal immigrants entering the United States — a roughly 400-square-mile ocean expanse that stretches from a bullring on the shores of Tijuana, Mexico, to suburban

Obama is now shark bait

You've got to wonder when White House political guru David Axelrod will look at the churning pools of poll data and, like Chief Brody in "Jaws," say: "We're gonna need a bigger boat." The analogy isn't quite right, because in the movie, the shark ultimately loses. (Snip) But in one sense, the analogy works just fine: This White House is rudderlessly lost at sea and inadequate to the challenges it faces.

The Epic Failures of President Obama

Barack Obama returns from his August vacation with a growing pile of problems facing him on just about every front. The economy is in a nosedive, his party is on the brink of losing its majority and the country is losing faith in his ability to lead. To a large extent, it could be said that it wasn't just Obama who was on vacation, it was his presidency. Compulsive Appeasement Disorder

With the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1989, the U.S. became the world's only superpower -- Uncle Sam would say, "Jump," and the response would be, "How high?" This has not continued; if anything, on today's world stage, Uncle Sam increasingly resembles Rodney "I don't get no respect" Dangerfield. We cannot even kill off a few ragtag third-world pirates, let alone impose our will on Iran or make Hugo Chávez nervous. There's a simple explanation: we are no longer feared. Superpowers of yesteryear, going back to the Greeks and Romans, were feared for a reason

How America has helped Islam

The current disagreement over the Ground Zero Mosque is an important historical stop on a long timeline of cultural debate between Islamic supremacists and the West. Recruits and devotees of these violent Arab Islamic supremacists, such as Hasan Nidal, Faisal Shahzad and Hosam Husein Smadi, all have something in common in their recent acts of terrorism. They all passionately believed the argument that the United States is mistreating Muslims.

The News Bigotry

Was I shocked when I read Andrea S. Lafferty’s article about ABC News sending an undercover photographer into a crowd of Ground Zero Mosque protesters? Yes and no. Yes, because it’s something a news organization has no business doing. No, because nothing surprises me with the media nowadays. NBC’s Dateline sent people dressed as Muslims to a NASCAR race shortly after 9-11 to videotape bigotry that they hoped to find. They found none, but that’s not the point here. The fact they thought they would find it at a NASCAR race shows NBC’s bigotry.

Obama Is Driving America Insane

President Obama thinks he is terribly clever but he is terribly mistaken. Although he is vacationing with his family on Martha’s Vineyard this week he has been barnstorming the country, campaigning for Democrats (and his own agenda) in the November elections, using a misbegotten metaphor. He says the country needs to keep the car (the economy) in the D gear (Democrat) to drive it out of the ditch (aka the recession) and that switching the car into the R gear (Republican) would just put the car back into the ditch. In his enthusiasm about how effective and memorable

Fostering ‘good will’ in Muslim countries

I couldn’t believe my ears when a listener to my national radio show this week told me she was certain that our State Department was funding, building and renovating Mosques in 27 countries using US tax dollars. I thought, she must have partial, incorrect info, it seemed so absurd to me. I had heard nothing of this anywhere. Then just yesterday I confirmed that this was indeed true through a variety of sources and with Frank Salvato, editor of new media journal.
What I have uncovered is unacceptable, obscene and should be fought at all levels by the American people. Our State Dept. is using undisclosed amounts of US tax dollars to build and renovate Islamic Mosques in 27 different countries.

Deeper Truth About Underworld 'Deities'

While much is still unknown about the mysteries of Demeter, the basis of her popularity was almost certainly rooted in her divinity as a mother-earth goddess. Demeter (De or Da "earth", and meter "mother") actually means "earth mother." The worship of the earth's "spirit" as a mother, and the incarnation of the earth's fertility forces within specific goddesses, was one of the oldest and most widespread forms of paganism recorded in antiquity. Whether it was Inanna of the Sumerians, Ishtar of the Babylonians, or Fortuna of the Romans, every civilization had a sect of religion based on the embodiment of the earth's spirit as a mother-goddess. The Egyptians worshipped Hathor in this way, as did the Chinese, Shingmoo. The Germans worshipped Hertha as the great Mother Earth, and in Greece, the queen of the Olympian goddesses and wife of Zeus was Hera; the benevolent earth mother. Before her was Gaia (Gaea, the Greek creator-mother earth) and beneath her were many other Greek earth spirits, including Demeter, Artemis, Aphrodite, Hecate, and so on.

Wanted: A revolution

The elections of 2008 (and the early elections of 2010) produced two significant phenomena: the "Ron Paul Revolution," and the "Tea Party Movement." And, mark it down: both of them will have profound effects upon the upcoming November elections--and upon the 2012 elections as well. Call them what you want, however, America doesn't need another movement; it needs a genuine revolution.
The Tea Party movement, while still a force with which to be contended, has already been diluted and compromised. The primary elections plainly reveal the reality of this fact. The high spots so far are the defeats of Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania and Bob Bennett in Utah. The low spots so far are the reelection of John McCain in Arizona and the election of Dan Coats in Indiana.

Do Liberals deserve to lose in November?

“The Democrats may deserve to lose in November,” Timothy Egan wrote provocatively on the New York Times’ Opinionator blog yesterday. “They have been terrible at trying to explain who they stand for and the larger goal of their governance.” He’s right. Case in point: the manufactured debate over whether to build an Islamic community/cultural center in lower Manhattan, which has already been approved for construction and has the vociferous support of the mayor of New York. According to Talking Points Memo (h/t MJ Rosenberg), only fourteen Democratic members of Congress have come out in favor of Park 51. The rest have denounced the project, called for a useless compromise or sought to avoid the topic altogether. That’s not leadership. Such cheap demagoguery is to be expected of today’s xenophobic GOP, but the party that sent the first African-American president to the White House will—and should—be held to a higher standard.

The myth of equality

In 21st-century America, institutional racism and sexism remain great twin evils to be eradicated on our long journey to the wonderful world where, at last, all are equal.
What are we to make, then, of a profession that rewards workers with fame and fortune, yet discriminates ruthlessly against women; an institution where Hispanics and Asians, 20 percent of the U.S. population, are neither sought after nor widely seen.
In this profession, white males, a third of the population, retain a third of the jobs. But black males, 6.5 percent of the U.S. population, have 67 percent of the coveted positions – 10 times their fair share.
We are talking of the NFL.

Left Turn: Tax cuts for the rich

Something important happened this week: Republican leaders in Congress finally came out for something.
Don't knock it. This is progress. We know what they're against: anything President Obama is for. He's for tax breaks for small business; they're against 'em. He's for extending unemployment benefits; they're against it. He's for emergency funds to states for keeping cops, firemen, teachers and nurses on the job; they vote no.
As Vice President Joe Biden observed, "I know what the Republicans are against. I have no notion of what they're for." Well, now we do. As articulated by Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, they are for extending George Bush's tax cuts to the top 2 percent of American taxpayers. And that singular priority speaks volumes about the intellectual poverty of the Republican Party today.
After all, the wealthiest of the wealthy have already enjoyed an undeserved free ride for 10 years, gobbling up a huge tax break that could easily have paid for universal health care or the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Making those tax breaks permanent, or even extending them for another 10 years, is bad public policy.

'Taxes are private property plundered'

"How do you know there is going to be an economic recovery," Greta Van Susteren asked GOP dummy Dana Perino. "There always is; these things go in cycles," squeaked the Heidi Klum of the commentariat.
Dana, who was once a spokesperson to a man who was barely able to speak, always smiles with pride when her boss' "modest" government expansion is hearkened to nostalgically on Fox News. You remember the broad sweep of the Bush limited-government program: Medicare Part D, "No Child Left Behind" and the fiscal fiascos that are the wars in Middle East and South-central Asia.
Likewise, Dana seems to think that the economy is much like the menstrual cycle. But even that event grinds to a halt when the hormones run out.
Another day, another dullard. This time it was Liz Cheney, who only sounds weightier than Dana because she's meatier and less appealing. The two will often form the Fox-panel staple when studiously dumb chicks, SE Cupp, for example, are unavailable to gesture wildly and grimace, as they portentously parrot mind-numbing banalities.
On this occasion, Liz repeated the Republican refrain about the Democrats' stimulus "not working." As though it could work. The premise of Liz's statement is that the various stimuli might have worked, if only, if only … Oh yes, if only GOPers were in charge.

Shariah for Dummies

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf claims that the U.S. Constitution is Shariah compliant. Let us examine below a few laws of Shariah to see if Imam Rauf is truthful or a fraud:
Jihad, defined as "to war against non-Muslims to establish the religion," is the duty of every Muslim and Muslim head of state (caliph). Muslim caliphs who refuse jihad are in violation of Shariah and unfit to rule.
A caliph can hold office through seizure of power, meaning through force.
A caliph is exempt from being charged with serious crimes such as murder, adultery, robbery, theft, drinking and in some cases of rape.
A percentage of Zakat (charity money) must go toward jihad.
It is obligatory to obey the commands of the cCaliph, even if he is unjust.
A caliph must be a Muslim, a non-slave and a male.
The Muslim public must remove the caliph if he rejects Islam.
A Muslim who leaves Islam must be killed immediately.
A Muslim will be forgiven for murder of: 1) an apostate, 2) an adulterer, and 3) a highway robber – making vigilante street justice and honor killing acceptable.
A Muslim will not get the death penalty if he kills a non-Muslim but will get it for killing a Muslim.

Shariah never abolished slavery or sexual slavery and highly regulates it. A master will not be punished for killing his slave.
Shariah dictates death by stoning, beheading, amputation of limbs, flogging – even for crimes of sin such as adultery.
Non-Muslims are not equal to Muslims under the law. They must comply with Islamic law if they are to remain safe. They are forbidden to marry Muslim women, publicly display wine or pork, recite their Scriptures or openly celebrate their religious holidays or funerals. They are forbidden from building new churches or building them higher than mosques. They may not enter a mosque without permission. A non-Muslim is no longer protected if he leads a Muslim away from Islam.
It is a crime for a non-Muslim to sell weapons to someone who will use them against Muslims. Non-Muslims cannot curse a Muslim, say anything derogatory about Allah, the Prophet, or Islam, or expose the weak points of Muslims. But the same does not apply to Muslims.
A non-Muslim cannot inherit from a Muslim.
Banks must be Shariah compliant, and interest is not allowed.
No testimony in court is acceptable from people of low-level jobs, such as street sweepers or bathhouse attendants. Women in low-level jobs such as professional funeral mourners cannot keep custody of their children in case of divorce.
A non-Muslim cannot rule even over a non-Muslim minority.
Homosexuality is punishable by death.
There is no age limit for marriage of girls. The marriage contract can take place any time after birth and consummated at age 8 or 9.
Rebelliousness on the part of the wife nullifies the husband's obligation to support her, and gives him permission to beat her and keep her from leaving the home.
Divorce is only in the hands of the husband and is as easy as saying, "I divorce you," and becomes effective even if the husband did not intend it.
There is no community property between husband and wife, and the husband's property does not automatically go to the wife after his death.
A woman inherits half what a man inherits.
A man has the right to have up to four wives, and she has no right to divorce him even if he is polygamous.
The dowry is given in exchange for the woman's sexual organs.
A man is allowed to have sex with slave women and women captured in battle, and if the enslaved woman is married, her marriage is annulled.
The testimony of a woman in court is half the value of a man.
A woman loses custody if she remarries.
To prove rape, a woman must have four male witnesses.

A rapist may only be required to pay the bride-money (dowry) without marrying the rape victim.
A Muslim woman must cover every inch of her body, which is considered "Awrah," a sexual organ. Not all Shariah schools allow the face of a woman exposed.
A Muslim man is forgiven if he kills his wife at the time he caught her in the act of adultery. However, the opposite is not true for women since he "could be married to the woman he was caught with."
The above are clear-cut laws in Islam decided by great imams after years of examination and interpretation of the Quran, Hadith and Muhammad's life. Now let the learned Imam Rauf tell us what part of the above is compliant with the U.S. Constitution.

Obama's military neglect

By design or incompetence, Obama appears to be intent on creating a quagmire in which to dissipate America's military strength and resources. Most Americans have no objection to seeing their loved ones in the military risk and give their lives to fulfill the oaths that preserve the liberty of our people. It is deeply wrong to ask that they do so when the strategy that makes moral and military sense of their sacrifice has been cast aside.
As I indicated in the above quoted article posted at Loyal to Liberty in May 2009, almost as soon as he entered the White House Obama abandoned the strategic vision that made sense of the U.S. military's deployment to Afghanistan. Was this the result of incompetence? Or did it express the same disaffection with America that caused Mrs. Obama to say that as an adult she never felt pride in her country until her husband ran for president?
Such questions and doubts increased when mounting casualties confirmed the dire implications of the rules of engagement Obama agreed to impose on U.S. combat forces in Afghanistan. Now we have the report that the relatives of some U.S. personnel in Afghanistan "have accused the U.S. government of leaving defenders of its freedoms without basics such as blankets, food, feminine hygiene supplies and even bullets." If true these allegations suggest a degree of criminal neglect at the highest level of command that warrants the immediate dismissal of those responsible, including the one who lays still doubtful claim to the authority of commander in chief.

Sawdust for brains and chutzpah to burn

Lately, you have probably noticed that Mayor Michael Bloomberg has taken to lecturing the rest of us on tolerance. I call it presumptuous, as well as ill-timed. It's presumptuous because he believes that he, alone, is in a position to tell Americans how we should feel about a massive mosque being built next to Ground Zero, as if being wealthy and an elected official somehow provided him with a moral superiority that we mere mortals could never hope to match.
I call it ill-timed because I, and I suspect millions of others, have gotten sick and tired of being told it's our duty to be tolerant of the foolish, the greedy and, ironically, those most committed to intolerance.
Over the past decade or so, we have had homosexuals demand same-sex marriages, self-righteously comparing themselves to blacks during the bad days of slavery and Jim Crow; we've had illegal aliens claim they're entitled to everything that goes with citizenship, including education, medical care and even voting rights; we've had Muslims insist that they've every right to be taxi drivers even though they refuse to pick up blind people if they're accompanied by seeing eye dogs and entitled to work in supermarkets even though they refuse to sell alcohol or pork products; and, lest you forget, we have enemy combatants who have never worn a uniform or fought under a national flag insisting they're protected by the Geneva Conventions and the U.S. Constitution.

Is anyone's memory as bad as Obama's?

I can visit Ronald Reagan's birthplace today, or any other president's, except Obama's (and maybe Chester Arthur's). I can get the full details on when any of our leaders entered this life.
Have you ever seen such a systematic dissembling of simple childhood details for anyone else in history? We may have a motto, "Where's the birth certificate?", but virtually everything about this White House occupant's childhood has two or three conflicting stories about it. This pattern doesn't appear to have begun with his adulthood. Some slight discrepancy would be normal and even appropriate. But why would his entire family have such trouble keeping his childhood narrative straight at every single point?
I think I know. And let's hope I'm wrong. Because the more these discrepancies continue arising, the more indication we have that family members knew early that something else was amiss about this special narrative. Then, early embellishments merely added confusion to obfuscation.
Something about this cover-up affects not just his presidential eligibility, but his whole administration. I don't doubt that, like many young adults, Obama and his coterie set their ultimate sights on the presidency; and it seems they ultimately did so believing they never needed to disclose any more than a Certification of Live Birth, pretending it was a wholly different form, a certificate of live birth. Now we must all ask: What is their endgame?
And one other point about this record: If he can't even be trusted to report whether his parents were married or who his siblings were, how can he be trusted about any prediction or promise whatsoever relating to "his" policies?

GOP lays another Quayle egg

The modern-day tea parties are just the first manifestation of the upcoming revolution! They barely scratch the surface of discontent in this country – particularly for conservatives, libertarians and others who put a premium on individual liberties and less government in our lives.
In the last few weeks, I attended two tea parties that are cases in point – one in San Diego hosted by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, which valiantly and successfully challenged Hillary Clinton's socialistic and flawed health-care plan in the 1990s and now Obamacare, which regrettably borders on a "communist solution" that envisions rationing of services and "penalization" of the American people if they refuse to buy into this collective plan. Then, a week later I took part in another tea party, this one on the Arizona-Mexican border to further and support the states' anti-illegal immigration legislation and law-enforcement efforts and elect Republican candidates to office in the fall elections.
Both times I was struck by the conventional approach of these tea parties. There was no mention of a people's uprising; rather, the theme was to merely vote out of power the current crop of incumbents in Congress in the fall elections, for the most part replacing them with hoped for fresh and bright Republican faces. At one point, a GOP hopeful for Congress implored the audience to restore the republic by electing her. As she uttered these words on the stage overlooking the meaningless, incomplete, sporadic and ineffective border fence between Arizona and Mexico, I sarcastically quipped to a "distinguished gentleman" wearing a wide brimmed cowboy hat standing next to me at my left in the sweltering heat. Raising my voice in disgust, I blurted out, "What republic? We have no republic! And, we don't have a Constitution either!"

A bloody ending for the GOP?

I was saddened, though not surprised, when former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott said (in referring to tea-party candidates) in a recent interview with the Washington Post, "We don't need a lot of Jim DeMint disciples. As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them." It stirred my greatest fears about the Republican Party.
I've always liked Trent Lott. Even though he's establishment to the core, by and large he's been one of the good guys – kind of an unperfected free-marketer. But I was very disappointed at his playing the role of loyal club member and dutifully stepping down as Senate majority leader when his well-intended remarks at Strom Thurman's 100th birthday party exploded into a left-wing fiesta.
Prior to that, in 1992, Sen. Lott had sent me a lengthy letter complimenting me on the content of a mockup magazine I was planning to publish (which I later decided to shelve), and I always appreciated his kind comments. So much so that when I started the Liberty Education Interview Series, I contacted his office to invite him to become one of my first interviews.

The anti-American pastor and Obama

The tangled web woven by George Soros served as a safety net for Barack Obama when he needed rescue from the exposure of Jeremiah Wright as an America-hating radical. Pastor Jim Wallis lied about receiving money from George Soros's Open Society Institute. His organization, Sojourners, is a leftist "social justice" type of ministry. He and Sojourners have a history with Barack Obama that I have been tracking for a few years. When the Jeremiah Wright scandal erupted, candidate Barack Obama had to find religion -- fast. Fortunately for him, he had a backup pastor in place and ready to go: Jim Wallis. Apparently, Obama felt right at home with Wallis.

Why hire a Muslim?

I see a Muslim woman hired by a Disney theme park in California is now suing the park because they won't let her wear the Muslim head scarf, even though she agreed to Disney's guidelines when she was hired. Since this story is being reported nationally, one can see how much this will help Muslim employment. Obviously, hiring a Muslim brings aboard someone quite easily offended by some things the employers probably never thought of. And with the ever-increasing immigration of Muslims, incidents like those at Disney will of course increase. But I doubt if it will impact the thinking of the insane apostles of "diversity." Savvy employers look for "red flags" when employing. Hiring a Muslim should hoist a red flag the size of Asia.

Israelis see Obama as 'proud Muslim'

History is, sadly, repeating itself. Eleven years ago, Bill Clinton twisted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's arm in a successful attempt to get him to withdraw Israeli soldiers from most sections of the ancient Jewish holy city of Hebron. The pullback was supposedly designed to strengthen the crumbling Oslo peace accord signed on the White House lawn in 1993 by Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat.
Instead, the unpopular evacuation caused Islamic terror attacks to mushroom and Netanyahu's coalition government to collapse, forcing early elections won by Ehud Barak. The new leader's subsequent offer at Camp David to hand over even more territory to the PLO chief was answered a few months later with the violent Palestinian Al Aksa uprising.
Another Democratic Party president is now wrestling with Netanyahu while pushing down hard on the explosive "peace" button. Barack Obama's action is likely, once again, to ignite violent confrontations in the Promised Land.
Adding to the historic repetition chill, it was Bill Clinton's violated wife who delivered the State Department announcement that direct peace talks will begin again next week in Washington after a 20-month hiatus.
While opinion polls showed that a majority of Israelis viewed Bill Clinton as a true friend, the same cannot be said for President Obama. In fact many see him as – ta da – a closet Muslim. Living around millions of Arab Muslims all of their lives, Israelis recognize the chief characteristics of many of Muhammad's followers. Told by their parents and imams from birth that they are the unique Chosen People of Allah – not the rejected Jews or idolatrous Christians – pride is one of those recurring traits among Muslims. Many would cite its cousin, arrogance, as another.

Gradualist Islam

Feisal Abdul Rauf, the Sufi Muslim imam of the Masjid al-Farah mosque in lower Manhattan and the founder of the Cordoba Initiative, the organization that is behind the proposed mosque to be built near the site of the former World Trade Center, is being praised by many liberals, including author Karen Armstrong. In her introduction to Rauf's book, "What's Right with Islam is What's Right with America," Armstrong wrote "In Imam Rauf, we have a Muslim who can speak to Western people in a way they can understand." Fareed Zakaria, the editor at large of Time ,agazine, recently fawned over Rauf for promoting "the need for Muslims to live peacefully with all other religions." Are these liberal intellectuals right about Rauf, and what is Sufism?
Such praise for Rauf should be viewed in the context of a centuries-old fascination on the part of Western liberals with Sufism, which is a mystical and esoteric discipline of Islam that has influenced both Jewish mysticism and the New Age occult movement. Sufism involves a cosmic spiritual process that resonates with many liberals, having contributed to the counterculture of the 1960s. It has been assumed that Sufism is separate from normative Islam, which is approximately 90 percent Sunni with the rest mostly Shiite, and that Sufism represents a peaceful alternative to the violent world-conquering doctrines of Islam such as jihad. But does it?

If you think Africa is a model for freedom and prosperity – go ahead and re-elect Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid's Democratic Congress. Do it 'cause, Baby, you ain't seen nut'in yet!
The MacMillan dictionary defines tribalism as a) "a way of thinking or behaving in which people are more loyal to their tribe than to their friends, their country, or any other social group," and b) "very strong loyalty that someone feels for the group they belong to, usually combined with the feeling of disliking all other groups or being different from them."
The Point newspaper ("The menace of tribalism") in Gambia, Africa, was a bit more blunt on Jan. 25, 2010: "The negative effects of tribalism permeate all African countries. Millions have been killed, maimed or displaced in civil wars in sub-Sahara Africa over the past 50 years, mostly because of tribal agitation. Most of us are living witnesses to the carnage that occurred in Rwanda and is still going on in Somalia. These countries have fallen into the abyss mainly because of tribalism."

Did you recycle this week?

Did you recycle this week? Did you bow before the altar of the "green" movement? Did you show proper deference to the secular religion of environmentalism? Did you do, not as you were asked, but as you were told by brainwashed, sanctimonious hippies and their puppets in your government? No? What are you, some kind of heretic? Do you hate the Earth? Maybe we'll have to teach you the benefits of recycling. Maybe we'll have to re-educate you. Maybe we'll have to punish you.
Yes, that's it ... we'll punish you. We'll do it in the way that hurts you most in an economy still reeling under President Barack Hussein Obama's socialism. We'll punish you financially, fining you a hundred dollars here, a hundred dollars there, until you've suffered so badly you either comply or we break you.
What's that? You don't have a hundred dollars? Oh, stop crying. No, sit down. That's quite enough of that. All we want you to do is recycle. It's good for the planet. It's good for everyone. Think of the children. There, there. Have you calmed down? Good. Now go take your recycling bin to the curb. That's a good boy. That's a good, whipped dog. That's a good, servile subject of an ever-more invasive and all-powerful government. Good lad. Maybe we won't have to punish you after all.
Did you enjoy reading the preceding three paragraphs?
I didn't ... and I wrote them. I don't enjoy them because I'm very worried. I'm worried because no matter how far-fetched are the seemingly endless schemes of "progressives," left-wing power-mongers and statists always seem to exceed my expectations for their dictates.

the left's rhetoric of altruism equals communism

I am grateful. Yes, I am grateful, and I'll tell you why. I am grateful because each day, more Americans are realizing that this progressivism thing they bought into, based on the left's rhetoric of altruism, brotherhood and stewardship, is nothing but communism on the installment plan. The political schema that appealed to us on an intellectually superficial basis is simply progression toward a collectivist state, governed unilaterally by an unproductive, parasitic political class.
In fact, an increasing number of our citizens are awakening to the idea that, given its diametric opposition to our long-held fundamental ideals and values, perhaps there isn't room for progressivist thought in the political arena at all.
Which is extremely gratifying from my point of view – as is hearing on a regular basis from people most conservatives wouldn't think I'd be hearing from: Democrats, gays, independent 20-somethings who may not be attuned to the dynamic behind what's going on in Washington, but they know that they do not like it, not one bit. It isn't the America in which they wish to live.
This underscores the fact that the recent popular discontent has never been about President Obama. Many have been growing increasingly disgusted with the direction in which America has been "progressing" since the end of Ronald Reagan's presidency. That said, Obama has indeed flung us closer to that dreaded collectivist destination, and faster than any other president.

Obama's 'Christianity'

The quote marks in the title above are hard-earned. President Barack Obama embraced Christianity for two reasons, and neither had anything to do with the person after whom Obama's newfound faith was named.
These are the same two calculated reasons Obama married Michelle. The move strengthened his desperately shaky identity as an African-American, and it solidified his political base in black Chicago.
In his 1995 memoir, "Dreams From My Father," Obama relates at great length his 1988 conversion at Jeremiah Wright's church. The one person left out of the retelling is Jesus Christ.
Obama hears the name "Jesus" being shouted and sung at church, but nowhere in "Dreams" does Obama have anything to say about the man or his mission. http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=195845

Mainstream 'rebellion of the masses'

A new poll shows that while Americans continue to feel they are losing their freedoms under President Obama's agenda of government takeover of private companies, health care and energy, they are beginning to fight back with public statements such as bumper stickers and political buttons.
"This may well represent a mainstream rebellion of the masses who are tired of being cowed by a national mainstream media that has offered little objective criticism of the president," said Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies.
The August WND Freedom Index poll was conducted Aug. 13-16 with an automated technology calling a random sampling of listed telephone numbers nationwide. It had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.78 percentage points.

'Global Islamic state'

As the son of a Hamas co-founder who became a Christian, a spy for Israel and a consultant to the Holy Land Foundation terror-finance trial, Mosab Hassan Yousef offers a rare perspective on the Egypt-based Muslim Brotherhood – at once the spawn of nearly every major Islamic terrorist group and of "mainstream" operatives in the U.S. such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Yousef, who recently was granted asylum in the U.S. after the Department of Homeland Security tried to deport him, told WND in a telephone interview Americans must understand that the ultimate goal of the highly influential Brotherhood is not terrorism but to establish a global Islamic state over the entire world.
"If they can establish this in a peaceful manner, that's fine," he said. "But they are required by the Quran to establish this global Islamic state on the rubble of every civilization, every constitution, every government."

President Obama accused of 'theft'

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the controversial Islamic leader behind the proposed Ground Zero mosque, has claimed President Obama's historic address to Muslim world was "all taken" from Rauf's book.
"If you examine this chapter you will find that the (Obama) speech in Cairo was all taken from this section," Rauf stated in a February recording.
Rauf mistakenly referred to Obama as "Bush" but was clearly speaking about Obama's address to the Islamic world from Cairo, Egypt June 4, 2009.

Will Muslims stop building their markers?

When I asked questions as a kid, my dad said, “The answer is as plain as the nose on your face.”
“Why are those Muslims building a mosque at Ground Zero?” one reader asked. “It doesn’t make sense to stick their mosque like a needle in our eyes at a place where their religion blew up the Twin Towers and killed 3,000 Americans. Why?”
Every ethnic tribe throughout history moved/moves toward dominance and turf. In America, over 522 tribes fought for land on this vast continent. Montana’s Blackfeet maintained dominance of their territory. The Comanche in Texas lived to fight for more land. The Michigan Chippewa battled for their region. They killed, scalped and mutilated one another for thousands of years before the white man, yet another ethnic tribe, killed most of them through organized violence even more methodical than the Native Americans. The white man brought guns, disease and religion to America. The Indians today live on reservations where they are controlled by welfare, booze and loss of language, culture, religion and their way of life. Just visit any reservation to see utter misery, purposelessness and boredom for so many Native Americans.
