"I can't spend all of my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead."
That's what Barack Obama told NBC's Brian Williams in a sympathetic interview Sunday night in answer to why Americans have doubts about his religious faith.
I agree with Obama that he should not be required to plaster his birth certificate on his forehead. That would, indeed, be an unreasonable demand. In fact, I would personally denounce anyone who asked Obama to take such an action.
Yet, since 58 percent of Americans, according to a recent CNN poll, have serious doubts about his birth story, a matter that is essential to establishing his constitutional eligibility for office, should he simply show it one time? Would that be unreasonable?
If Obama wants people to believe him, shouldn't he occasionally show some harmless evidence that his claims are true?

Obama thinks we should take what he says on faith. That's not reasonable – not for any politician, but certainly not for one who has established a pattern of concealing literally all documentation regarding his past – from passport and travel records, to health reports, to school records, to college and university transcripts, to academic papers he wrote and much more.
I am the guy who asked the question, "Where's the birth certificate?"
