That Fryeburg Feelin'

That Fryeburg Feelin'

In almost every American county around
It happens once a year at the fair ground
The county fair happens in the fall
For fun and food, and what's new for all

There’s aggie and livestock competition
An inviting midway awaits the price of admission
Bloomin onion and pizza are the popular fare
Look around, you’ll see your friends and neighbors there

Some like the rides, others try popping balloons
The fair is open to late evening from early afternoon
A few win stuffed animals too big for their arms
It's always a winner with your lady’s charm

The smell of popcorn dances through the air
Outside the oddity tent people just stand and stare
There’s Paddy - Whack entertaining the kids over there
In that tent, a mind reader telling a future - fair

There are rides and rides all around the midway about
On some, the people scream, and on others they shout
There are rides for the little and some for the girls
Look at the flying tea cups and the tilt-a-whirl

For hours the crowd nibbles the food and has lots of fun
They come in like the tide almost moving as one
Then sometime after midnight it all comes undone
Everyone goes back home to wait for the fair's next day in the sun
